ABC to air final six episodes of The Nine

Did you watch the Nine? If you are one of the nine people who did, you will be happy to hear that ABC has plans to finally air the final six episodes of the short-lived show.

The first seven episodes aired in the fall, but the final six have yet to hit the airwaves. They will begin airing on August 1st at 10pm. But surprisingly, fans shouldn’t expect any kind of resolution because believe it or not, the central plot is never concluded! So even if you are a fan, not sure what closure this will actually bring you!

The Nine loses its timeslot on ABC after losing Lost lead-in

It is tough to be a series when over half of your viewers have stuck around simply because they watched the series that airs right before yours. And that is the case with The Nine which has seen its previously decent viewership of 18 million during the Lost heyday earlier this season to just over half of that now that Lost is on hiatus.

ABC is planning to air an episode of 20/20 this Wednesday instead of The Nine, a series which revolves around a large cast who all survived a hostage standoff during a bank robbery. ABC has not said when the series would return, but chances are good they will save it until Lost is back on the air, and return The Nine to its previous timeslot. That is, if another megahit doesn’t take over its timeslot.
